The consistency of achievement emotions assessed through different methodologies has not been investigated thoroughly yet. We compared achievement emotions of 180 undergraduate students derived from quantitative and qualitative data. The correlations between emotions collected through closed and open-ended questions were positive and significant, with relevant implications for research practice.
