The goal of this paper is to describe one application of the subspaceidentification methods to an adaptive optics system. Adaptive optics systems are extensively used in astronomy to obtain high resolution pictures of stars and galaxies with ground telescopes. Subspace identification is used here as a method to build the MIMO model of the plant.
