In 1975 Peter Singer wrote the book "Animal liberation", which gave rise to a vast protest literature against the mistreatment of animals, with direct and indirect impact on society and the landscape. Re-reading this work and reinterpreting it through a particularly original lens, in 2011 Ralph Hall began to create ceramic works which - by freeing themselves from common artistic trends and following the linear aesthetics of fashion - express the crazy and illogical violence carried out by men on animals. The willingness to denounce the assaults made on nature, both in the past and at present and in different forms and ways, becomes an instrument to rediscover the landscape and its hidden meanings, updated and enriched with nowadays expertise, making it the basis from which to detonate a new artistic expression.
