The article will be devoted to the images of Russia in Primo Levi’s (1919-1987) literary work. The Italian Jewish writer, widely recognized as one of the most representative figures of Holocaust literature, has shown a deep creative interest for Russian culture. The essay will focus on two aspects: 1) the role of Russian characters in Levi’s prose narrative; 2) his intense “dialogue” with some leading voices of Twentieth-Century Russian literature such as I. Babel’, A. Solženicyn and V. Šalamov.
