We studied the local release of antibiotics from PMMA bone cement nails loaded with a combination og gentamicin and vancomicin in an experimental model of osteomyelitis and the correlation with the effect of treatment. In addition, we evaluate the effects in vitro of G-and V-loaded PMMA cement specimens on the bacterial adhesion of multiresistant clinical isolates staphylococci and streptococci (Met-R, Gent-R and VRSA).
