Le sinergie tra un missionario italiano, alcuni professionisti e dei giovani africani - formatisi in Italia e ritornati nel proprio Paese – hanno portato alla realizzazione di un progetto territoriale volto alla costruzione di infrastrutture sanitarie e scolastiche. Il legame affettivo creatosi tra gli attori coinvolti ha cambiato il significato di un’area prima vuota ed anonima nonché il volto di un quartiere di Bissau. Non si tratta unicamente di un intervento funzionale alla comunità locale: esso infatti è divenuto un bene basato sul principio di autogestione e autofinanziamento ed è inoltre riuscito a creare un flusso continuo di scambio tra culture. The sentimental tie created among the individual involved in the project has changed the meaning of an area which was before empty and anonymous, as well as the aspect of a district of Bissau. The project is not only focused on the practical feature for the local community, but in particular it has become an advantage to promote self-management and self-financing, while creating a continuous flow of exchange among cultures.
