The electronic court proceedings would provide many advantages: reducing time of justice, such a method to promote ease of transport, facilitating the drafting of subsequent judgements, at least, allowing a uniform and homogeneous judgement.The issue involves the knowledge of experts both in legal science and in computer science all over the world. This work would analyze the role of XML Standard and XML Signature Standards in these electronic proceedings. The paper has to be seen as on attempt to identify the possible advantages offered by this technology, taking into consideration the "on-line civil trial"
