Discovering the business soul Business culture defines the way of being of the firm and the reason why it exists. Every group, for the simple reason of existing, has a culture at its disposal. But not all organizations express a soul. Soul is different from culture because it is directly connected to the emotional business structure and to the spirit of the organization, trying to find out the sense of the action of the firm. In the past, competitiveness has been connected to - the body of the firm (technology); - the brain (knowledge); - the mind (intelligence). Today, competitiveness needs the soul because productivity and cost effectiveness are no more sufficient to reach a competitive edge. Today, the competitive edge can be reached only through creativity, and creativity is connected to the spirit and personality of the people living in the firm, to the harmony inside the organization, to ethics, to the sense of beauty and the time for thinking. In a word, it is connected to the soul of the organization. This paper aims to introduce such a perspective in the firm through an unusual path which finds its roots in literature, novels, poetry, philosophic reflections, theatre, films, music and aphorisms that, once proposed to the organization, can help the soul of the firm come out.

Abstract
This paper aims to introduce such a perspective in the firm through an unusual path which finds its roots in literature, novels, poetry, philosophic reflections, theatre, films, music and aphorisms that, once proposed to the organization, can help the soul of the firm come out.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
