Abstract
The tools used to model and analyze the performance of the various network components in the heterogeneous industrial networks architectures were discussed. The use of homogeneous modeling strategy using the network simulator (NS-2) was proposed. The role of SystemC and the use of an instruction set simulator (ISS) and a board to improve the overall modeling methodology were described. The experimental analysis show that the network cannot support the workload generated by the two programmable logic controller (PLC), thus the UltiWIRE bandwidth must be increased.File in questo prodotto:
