A study was conducted on the design for verification (DfV) methodology. DfV exploits both functional verification and formal verification techniques. The usefulness of the confluence of manufacturing test and design validation was investigated. As a result directions for research and implementations which could further push the confluence of manufacturing test and design validation were highlighted.
