The connection between music and development is a widely recognized topic within the scientific community, eliciting increasing interest and many contributions (Chern et al., 2018; Fiveash et al., 2022; Gordon et al., 2011; Linnavalli et al., 2018; Magne et al., 2020; Roden, 2013). This research project explores the correlation between music and development of preschool-age children, focusing on their cognitive, linguistic, and rhythmic abilities. Music, though, can also play a crucial role in children’s identity development in several ways. It is essential, for example, as a supportive tool during the delicate transition from nursery to kindergarten, fostering relationships and inclusion (Chiappetta Cajola & Rizzo, 2019) with positive effects on children’s socio-emotional development (Gustavson et al., 2021). Ultimately, music enhances the psychological well-being of parents and promotes cooperation with educators and teachers (Sgambelluri et al., 2021) .
