The paper deals with twenty-two ancient inscribed rings, from the Imperial Roman and Late Antique periods, and with one dated to the Late Middle Ages but of an earlier tradition; furthermore with an inscribed oval element of unclear function. For all the objects, kept in the MATR of Verona, there is no information on the discovery; however, many of them can be connected to various collections the museum acquired over time, particularly the ones of the 18th century. The objects are here divided into groups based on macroscopic characteristics and dated on a typological and paleographic basis. Despite the lack of fundamental information about the context, the examined objects are of interest from an epigraphic and in some cases iconographic point of view.

Abstract
The paper deals with twenty-two ancient inscribed rings, from the Imperial Roman and Late Antique periods, and with one dated to the Late Middle Ages but of an earlier tradition; furthermore with an inscribed oval element of unclear function. For all the objects, kept in the MATR of Verona, there is no information on the discovery; however, many of them can be connected to various collections the museum acquired over time, particularly the ones of the 18th century. The objects are here divided into groups based on macroscopic characteristics and dated on a typological and paleographic basis. Despite the lack of fundamental information about the context, the examined objects are of interest from an epigraphic and in some cases iconographic point of view.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
