This paper addresses methodological issues in the history of philosophy, and particularly in the histories of concepts, sources, and problems. The concept "Bestimmung des Menschen" represents a case in point, as it is a specific German expression, but is also conceived of as a possible answer to the universal human problem about the meaning of existence. Finally, it presupposes focus on the relevant sources, thereby connecting three different approaches (i.e., history of concepts, problems and sources).

Abstract
This paper addresses methodological issues in the history of philosophy, and particularly in the histories of concepts, sources, and problems. The concept "Bestimmung des Menschen" represents a case in point, as it is a specific German expression, but is also conceived of as a possible answer to the universal human problem about the meaning of existence. Finally, it presupposes focus on the relevant sources, thereby connecting three different approaches (i.e., history of concepts, problems and sources).File in questo prodotto:
