Abstract

This article, which is written with ELT educators in mind, explores easily accessible, time-saving ways to facilitate learners in their exploration of lexical usage both in class and independently. This can be done by developing an awareness of the digital interfaces that are available for differing types of corpus search. Although corpora are often related rather to such areas as research or lexicography, fostering familiarity with and competence in the use of the readily available digital interfaces which are increasingly available online can help learners increase their knowledge of lexical usage and grammar.
