SARS-CoV-2 disease (the so-called ‘Coronavirus’) has spread all across the globe. Consequently, the steady surge in the pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to all aspects of daily life, including the legal spectrum. Governments had (and still have) to tackle completlely new defies in an effort to halt the spread of the virus. One of the main challenges have to do with the rule of law and with the crucial balance between, say, the right to life and other fundamental rights, as well as containment measures which have inevitably limited them.
