The article has in aim to investigate the Latin epitome of the Life of Vicent Ferrer transmitted by the MS XXVII of the Archivio Storico Diocesano of Novara, one of the many hagiographical texts dedicated to the Catalan preacher. This text closely follows the lectiones of Vicent Ferrer’s Officium by Marziale Auribelli, but contains also some passages taken from the Vita sancti Vincentii and from its lectio brevis, both composed by the Dominican from Palermo Pietro Ranzano. Apart from the features of this text, the Novara’s codex stands as one more witness of the diffusion of the cult of the saint from Valencia in Northern Italy, i.e. in the lands between Piedmont and Lombardy that were closely touched by his preaching.

Abstract
The article has in aim to investigate the Latin epitome of the Life of Vicent Ferrer transmitted by the MS XXVII of the Archivio Storico Diocesano of Novara, one of the many hagiographical texts dedicated to the Catalan preacher. This text closely follows the lectiones of Vicent Ferrer’s Officium by Marziale Auribelli, but contains also some passages taken from the Vita sancti Vincentii and from its lectio brevis, both composed by the Dominican from Palermo Pietro Ranzano. Apart from the features of this text, the Novara’s codex stands as one more witness of the diffusion of the cult of the saint from Valencia in Northern Italy, i.e. in the lands between Piedmont and Lombardy that were closely touched by his preaching.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
