An in-depth analysis of the ms. Oxford, Wadham College, A 21 24, considered as the base text of the recent critical edition of the Trecentonovelle (ed. by Michelangelo Zaccarello, 2014), reveals that the manuscript is actually a late copy, linguistically distant from the original ‘physiognomy’ of Sac- chetti’s autographs. Furthermore, the linguistic incoherence of such a new witness seems to raise some issues also from the textual point of view.

Abstract
An in-depth analysis of the ms. Oxford, Wadham College, A 21 24, considered as the base text of the recent critical edition of the Trecentonovelle (ed. by Michelangelo Zaccarello, 2014), reveals that the manuscript is actually a late copy, linguistically distant from the original ‘physiognomy’ of Sac- chetti’s autographs. Furthermore, the linguistic incoherence of such a new witness seems to raise some issues also from the textual point of view.File in questo prodotto:
