Ten years after the death of Jean Baudrillard, this paper aims to rethink the writings and thought of this author, from the beginnings to the most recent works. The paper aims to show how the simulacrum can be an important concept for sociological analysis. As you will see in the last part of the paper, the concept of simulacrum is the explanatory and analytical key to social change. The paper proposes to structure the analysis of the concept on two levels: a phenomenological one, which investigates the manifestation of dimensions that characterize the concept in the various spheres of social action; 2.
