Crowdfunding, as an alternative source of financing businesses, has been an important phenomenon in European Countries in the last years, even though there is not a common regulation for it. Through the examination of two different models of crowdfunding, equity-based and reward-based, this paper analyzes how fashion companies can use this tool both to obtain necessary funding and to market their products. By comparing the regulations promulgated in the main European countries, this paper discusses how such entrepreneurs can use crowdfunding effectively.
