Le miscellanee universitarie e la loro diffusione oltralpe,

The miscellaneous manuscripts created by university students during their studies, despite the poverty of the materials, are still witnesses rich in valuable information. The manuscripts assembled by students from German speaking countries in transalpine universities as Basel and Leipzig illustrate precisely how these academies, together for example with Erfurt or Heidelberg, became centres of diffusion of humanism, and how they maintained close contacts with the major universities of northern Italy. A manuscript from Bavaria shows how the renewed techniques of interpretation of classical and biblical texts, that arrived on German lands even through the mediation of the students, have propitiated in many humanists and churchmen, through complex and never predictable phenomena, the emergence of a revolutionary new religious sensitivity.

I manoscritti miscellanei creati dagli studenti universitari durante i loro anni di formazione, pur nella povertà dei materiali, sono ancora oggi testimoni ricchi di preziose informazioni. In particolare, i codici assemblati da studenti di area germanofona in alcune università transalpine come Basilea e Lipsia illustrano con precisione come queste accademie, insieme per esempio a Erfurt o Heidelberg, divennero centri di diffusione dell’umanesimo e mantennero stretti contatti con le grandi università dell’Italia settentrionale. Un testimone di area bavarese mostra come le rinnovate tecniche di interpretazione dei testi classici e biblici, arrivate in terra tedesca anche attraverso la mediazione degli studenti, abbiano propiziato in molti umanisti e uomini di chiesa, tramite fenomeni complessi e mai scontati, l’affermarsi di una nuova e rivoluzionaria sensibilità religiosa.
