The interview with Gian Pietro Brogiolo, italian medievalist archaeologist, is divided along five thematic lines. The first point focused in the interview is (1) a small biography, with a few personality traits and his training in archaeology field, while (2) a second part is aimed to discuss his point of view about the methodological development of the medieval archaeology in the last quarter of the last century. The other three themes reflect the topics of (3) the current archaeological training, (4) the Middle Ages as seen through the eyes of the material culture and (5) the discussion of the most recent reforms of MiBACT.
