Geography Reflection on the Beauty, the Good, the True (and their Opposites). The answer of the Landscape . Modern society, with its fashions and its models, has taught us that we must abandon the idea that there is one single definition of “beauty”, for such reason we can not know through fixed canons what is beauty; even the “ugly” has its own role, that of causing pain, to be a denunciation of the world as it is now, to represent the other. Convinced that every landscape includes something sensible –from the colors of the fields, to the forms and lines of urban architecture- the knowledge of the landscape itself becomes a kind of detonator of higher emotional charges, which can lead to the sensible beauty, in other terms to unleash the aesthetic sensation, in the direction of the intelligible beauty.
