Abstract
This work will highlight the very best integration of our current knowledge regarding clinical hypnosis and meditative stages, as innovations in clinical practice such as the development of hypnotic suggestions based on new understanding of the neurophysiologic effects of hypnosis and meditative states in pain and suffering relief. A hypnotic ‘trance’ can be brought about by giving a willing patient instructions to focus on the hypnotist’s voice, to concentrate their attention, and to pay attention to their inner mental world. Some hypnotic inductions include suggestions for relaxation, but this is not strictly necessary. Researchers debate whether a hypnotic trance is an altered state of consciousness, that is, whether an individual’s consciousness is altered by becoming hypnotized.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
