Abstract

We present a methodology for the modelling ofspatially-aware biological phenomena, based on thedescription of the movement of membranes in the Euclideanspace. The time evolution of the system is described byan iterative algorithm, which determines the movement ofthe objects according to the actions they perform, and theconstraints they are subjected to. We exemplify ourapproach with a model of the morphogenesis of Dictyosteliumdiscoideum, and present the results of its simulation.
