This article is structured in two parts. The first part highlights innovative approaches in the field of international and comparative education that theoretically or methodologically capture the global dimension of political and ideational materials crossing places, social and political issues, and interact with agents, concepts and technologies. The second part proposes an original model to study the structures of global polity in adult education that is based on these innovative approaches, but is also an attempt to overcome its limitations.
