During the last 4 years the Archaeological Information System of Verona (SITAVR) has been implemented from the existing and consolidated SITAR project, which has been developed in Rome by the “Soprintendenza speciale per i beni archeologici di Roma”. The main purpose of the two projects is the collection of data describing the archaeological findings and related information sources regarding the historical heritage of these two Italian urban centres, with the final goal of analyzing and using such data for various purposes (i.e., research, urban planning, safeguard...).

Abstract

During the last 4 years the Archaeological Information System of Verona (SITAVR) has been implemented from the existing and consolidated SITAR project, which has been developed in Rome by the “Soprintendenza speciale per i beni archeologici di Roma”.
