Abstract

Conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) evaluates disease impact in multiple sclerosis (MS) by providing measures of lesions number, volume and gadolinium enhancement. In this study, we explore the value of advanced MRI measures of tissue integrity (i) to quantify the pathological substrate of cortical and white matter (WM) lesions and (ii) to assess the clinical impact of lesion pathology.
