The principal hypothesis appears abnormality of cardiorespiratory control, sleep-wake regulation. Also in our personal date the autopsy have not been of sufficient specificity and sensitivity to explain the disease.

Abstract

Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the most common cause of postneonatal infant death in developed countries. The causes of SIDS remain unknown.
