In split-brain cats, it was found thac reactions to visual patterns dependent on the brain half with lesions in the prctcctum-supcrior colliculus showed marked deficits. The deficits were found even when the visual cortex was intact. Effects were less severe in cats with smaller lesions in the pretectum-superior colliculus. It was concluded that the mentioned midbrain areas participate in visually guided behavior and pattern discrimination. © 1970 S. Karger AG, Basel.

Abstract
In split-brain cats, it was found thac reactions to visual patterns dependent on the brain half with lesions in the prctcctum-supcrior colliculus showed marked deficits. The deficits were found even when the visual cortex was intact. Effects were less severe in cats with smaller lesions in the pretectum-superior colliculus. It was concluded that the mentioned midbrain areas participate in visually guided behavior and pattern discrimination. © 1970 S. Karger AG, Basel.File in questo prodotto:
