In this article Ettore Lo Gatto's contribution to the translation and circulation of Lev Lunc's works is analysed. On the basis of reviews and critical notes, as well as the letters written by Lo Gatto himself and sent to Maksim Gor'kij, the history of Lunc's worls in Italy is recontructed, whith special reference to Lo Gatto's activity as a translator and a critic in the Twenties. It is claimed that his translations - the first one of them, contrary to current criticism, dates back to 1923, when Lunc was still alive, and not to 1925 - are to be considered as a meaningful activity of Lo Gatto's and, more generally, of the rising Italian Slavic studies.Nell'articolo è analizzato il contributo di Ettore Lo Gatto alla traduzione e diffusione dell'opera di Lev Lunc in Italia.
