Kant considers the negative quantity solely as a concept. Negativity does not concern the reality of the forces (they all are positive) but solely the conceptual network that is supposed to capture these forces as soon as they enter into a reciprocal relation. The negativity of the quantities comes from their possible conceptualization. Negativity is nothing more than denomination.

Abstract

Kant considers the negative quantity solely as a concept. Negativity does not concern the reality of the forces (they all are positive) but solely the conceptual network that is supposed to capture these forces as soon as they enter into a reciprocal relation. The negativity of the quantities comes from their possible conceptualization. Negativity is nothing more than denomination.
