This writing aims, first of all, to offer a reconstruction of Damasio's theory of emotions. The subsequent critical analysis of such theory will show that, beyond ist huge gains, Damasio's approach still presents a residual dualism, whose origin lays - as it will be hypothesized - in a oversight of the notion of 'form'. In order to overcome such dualism a different set of categories is therefore required: as the essay will suggest, the notion of lógoi énuloi from Aristotle's De anima can be a helpful and fruitful one.

Abstract
This writing aims, first of all, to offer a reconstruction of Damasio's theory of emotions. The subsequent critical analysis of such theory will show that, beyond ist huge gains, Damasio's approach still presents a residual dualism, whose origin lays - as it will be hypothesized - in a oversight of the notion of 'form'. In order to overcome such dualism a different set of categories is therefore required: as the essay will suggest, the notion of lógoi énuloi from Aristotle's De anima can be a helpful and fruitful one.File in questo prodotto:
