The trust that followers place in their leaders is a topic of increasing interest in applied psychology. It was found to influence both affects (Rich, 1997) and performance (George, 1995) and it is thus considered among the several endogenous factors impacting affect in the workplace (George & Zhou, 2007). Understanding the effect of leader on followers’ affective states represents a current challenge in this field (Dirks & Ferry, 2002). So far, the present study we analyzed survey data from 55 teams (360 employees) and found a significant relationship between the trust that followers have for their leader and their own well-being.

Abstract
The trust that followers place in their leaders is a topic of increasing interest in applied psychology. It was found to influence both affects (Rich, 1997) and performance (George, 1995) and it is thus considered among the several endogenous factors impacting affect in the workplace (George & Zhou, 2007). Understanding the effect of leader on followers’ affective states represents a current challenge in this field (Dirks & Ferry, 2002). So far, the present study we analyzed survey data from 55 teams (360 employees) and found a significant relationship between the trust that followers have for their leader and their own well-being.File in questo prodotto:
