Semi-parametric estimates of willingness to pay (WTP) distributions for sustainable food attributes are retrieved from data from a stated choice experiment conducted in Germany, Italy and the UK. The focal product is w & uuml;rstel sausages (aka 'bratwurst' or 'hot dog' sausages). Empirical findings show such attributes are differently appreciated across countries, at least in some of features. The choice data are analysed using a WTP version of the logit-mixed-logit model, which allows for fixed and random coefficients while accommodating correlation effects. The advantages of the model proposed are compared against the standard mixed logit model.
