Within global environmental constitutionalism, the topic of toxic waste trade has not received much attention from legal doctrine. And this, despite its being a hotly debated issue at the international level. This essay provides a global and comparative survey of constitutional provisions related to the issue at stake. It also examines a peculiar feature of environmental constitutionalism in Africa and Latin America, i.e. the fact that their constitutions usually make explicit reference to bans on the import of hazardous waste.

Abstract
Within global environmental constitutionalism, the topic of toxic waste trade has not received much attention from legal doctrine. And this, despite its being a hotly debated issue at the international level. This essay provides a global and comparative survey of constitutional provisions related to the issue at stake. It also examines a peculiar feature of environmental constitutionalism in Africa and Latin America, i.e. the fact that their constitutions usually make explicit reference to bans on the import of hazardous waste.File in questo prodotto:
