Immanuel Kant (1724-1804). Ontologie et Métaphysique

On the 300th anniversary of Immanuel Kant’s birth, we present here a special issue devoted to some of the most topical aspects of his thought. The language chosen for this section is French because the texts collected here were originally presented at the 11th international congress of the Société Internationale d’Études Kantiennes de Langue Française, hosted by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan) in 2021. These contributions complement the proceedings of that congress, which were published in 2024 (Vrin, Paris). Kant’s confrontation with metaphysics and ontology continues to be an important benchmark both for the understanding of some topical features of his critical perspective, and for establishing new and fruitful comparisons with the philosophy of subsequent centuries.
