The comparison between the role of Hegel's "philosophy of nature" and that of Hans Jonas's "philosophical biology" is proposed here using the hermeneutic criterion of open dialectics. This study addresses whether the limit inherent in finitude and typical of natural reality can also become a resource, namely that of a dialectic that does not claim to be accomplished in a necessary path but instead opens itself to diversity and possibility.

Abstract
The comparison between the role of Hegel's "philosophy of nature" and that of Hans Jonas's "philosophical biology" is proposed here using the hermeneutic criterion of open dialectics. This study addresses whether the limit inherent in finitude and typical of natural reality can also become a resource, namely that of a dialectic that does not claim to be accomplished in a necessary path but instead opens itself to diversity and possibility.File in questo prodotto:
