The following pages give an account of the fieldwork, results, diplomatic negotiations, and illusions associated with Alessandro Della Seta’s Asia Minor research programme. This reconstruction is based on the critical analysis of unpublished archive documents kept at the Italian Archaeological School in Athens, whose transcription is published here for the first time. This contribution, in a broader perspective, sheds further light on Della Seta’s direction (1919-1938), a period in which the scientific imprints and research directions of the School were defined.

Abstract
The following pages give an account of the fieldwork, results, diplomatic negotiations, and illusions associated with Alessandro Della Seta’s Asia Minor research programme. This reconstruction is based on the critical analysis of unpublished archive documents kept at the Italian Archaeological School in Athens, whose transcription is published here for the first time. This contribution, in a broader perspective, sheds further light on Della Seta’s direction (1919-1938), a period in which the scientific imprints and research directions of the School were defined.File in questo prodotto:
