My aim is to show that Schopenhauer’s system, due to the incorporation of the concept of the Buddhist palingenesis from 1844 onwards, partly changes in Schopenhauer’s late works mostly informed by Buddhism, such as the second and the third editions of The World as Will and Representation, published in 1844 and 1859 respectively, and Parerga and Paralipomena (1851), as well as their posthumous versions.

Abstract
