Abstract
The paper offers a new reading of RIB 2,5, 2491,147, the well-known graffito inscribed on a brick of the Lydion type found in the heart of the City of London in 1886. Playing with the double meaning of the word dibus (days/gods), such graffito would seem to have been incised soon after its production, during the quality check operation, known as recensio-probatio, carried out by those in charge of the pottery workshop (officina).File in questo prodotto:
