Abstract
The evident link between industrial-capitalist development and the impoverishment of ecosystems has led – over the last decades – social movements to affirm frames of meaning and practices that have favored the increase of eco-system awareness and the development of new visions of the future. Hence, the need to educate to sustainability to build in particular “from below” a new ecological ethics. Ecopedagogy that dis-cusses the current system, makes subjects literate to ecology and is one of the most significant tools to achieve this goal. In this scenario, agroecology, as a science and ecosystem vision, is one of the possible transformative horizons. Starting from the pedagogical contributions of social movements, this essay shows how the educational urgency of building transition paths is also leading collective movements of Marxist in-spiration, such as the Landless Rural Workers’ Movement, to elaborate curricular proposals in agroecology in order to root from early childhood new ecological visions of Life.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
