Per un'ontologia e un'etica della persona. Il contributo di Giuseppe Zamboni

The theme ofthe perso n is at the center ofGiuseppe Zamboni's pure gnoseology (1875-1950): it was originally conceived against the Positivistic reductions of Ardigò and subsequently directed against the Italian neo-Idealism. The intertwining between ontology and ethics of the person must be read in the light of the distinction that Zamboni proposes, within the se!f, between the cognitive se!f, the self involved in feelings and the self 01 acts of will. This implies a new clarification of the spirituality of the human subject, regained at the end of the gnoseological path, in an integraI vision of the person, in spite of any reductionism of the Cartesian tradition.
