The A. analyzes the legislation supporting working parents at the EU and national levels after the transposition of dir. 2019/1158/EU. Tracing the amendments to the Maternity and Paternity Act, three different orders of reflections are introduced. These concern the concrete equalization of parental care duties, the effectiveness and efficacy of the rules introduced at the national level the in summer 2022, and, finally, the question of gender neutral declination of the rights of the working father and/or equivalent parent.
