The public debate around sustainability does not always consider all the practical implications of the concept. In particular, in the energy, mobility and circular economy sectors, which are key to an effective and inclusive green transition, sustainability has also to cope with technical specificities, affordability for customers and good governance. Without taking into account these aspects, the risk of not reaching the European and national Environmental targets could become a certainty.
