The paper provides a thorough linguistic analysis of all the Anatolian glosses included in the manuscripts of the Akkadian medical omina found at Boğazköy/Hattuša. In particular, we will discuss their etymology, function in the texts, sociolinguistic value, and make some remarks on the purpose that manuscripts with glosses could have had.
