The Cu(I) coordination polymer [Cu-3(mu-I)(3)(mu-btz(Me))(NCCH3)](n) (btz(Me) = 1-methyl-1H-benzotriazole) was prepared and characterized by X-Ray diffraction. The compound showed strong green emission upon excitation with wavelengths below 475 nm, with lifetime of 47 mu s. The emission was attributed to (3)(X,M)LCT transition on the basis of experimental data and DFT calculations.
