The article tells the story and examines the composition of the "Ida Borletti’s collection” kept at the Società Letteraria of Verona. Much of the collection once belonged to “the Carosello library, active in Milan between 1946 and 1956 by the will of Countess Ida Borletti. In the Società Letteraria there are a few hundred of the books once selected by the Carosello to keep alive the interest in the new international culture, literature, philosophy, and politics.
