A growing recognition in the sport psychology literature is given to social support, which helps athletes to cope with sport injury and to rehabilitate from it. The injured athletes’ perception of the availability of support coming not only from friends, family members, teammates, but also from the coaches have been extensively studied because it may affect athletes’ ability to adhere to the rehabilitation protocol and to increase motivation to successfully recovery from sport injury (1, 2, 3). In the extant literature, little attention has been given to the injured athletes’ perception of social support perceived from the medical staff and operators of rehabilitation centers. Studying this can be useful to encourage perceived social support and make the rehabilitation path of injured athletes more effective. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to examine the perceived injured soccer players’ social support received from the operators of a Sports Rehabilitation Clinic.
