The task of educating in the postmodern age is particularly complex, due to the rapid and unprecedented symbolic and social transformations. Gender thoughts and the sexual difference theory constitute indispensable lens for debating issues in depth, avoiding the superficiality of immediate narratives, but also the risk of falling into the fears that are raging in our communities. There are no straightforward strategies, but we need to work in two directions: first, we need to learn to read reality by paying attention to people’s state of mind; secondly, the link between the sexes must be reconfigured to care for female freedom, the current crisis of masculinity and the recognition of homosexual affectivity.
