The challenges of sustainability and the emerging trends of the knowl-edge society are particularly interesting as they are able to open to-wards new organizational actions and potentially trigger different evolutionary trends, qualitatively and quantitatively in many sec-tors (like, energy, agri-food, mobility, building, urban planning).The project embraces the multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary na-ture of the processes involved and aims at identifying ways to promote sustainability pathways in urban contexts. The approach proposed is open and participatory and is focused on building partnerships between schools, universities, local communities and firms to promote sustainability culture and practical opportunities among citizens. The methods presented are applied to a case study on renewable en-ergy in schools and on the change in relationships between electricity users, providers and other stakeholders.
